#2 My dxt review: as someone else said, it is a HUNTING bow, it is light, short and thus easy to maneuver, quick, quiet and very smooth to draw. It's a double-edged sword though, what makes it nice also makes it difficult to get used to shooting-wise,it's very easy to cant one way or the other b/c it's so short and light, it took a couple of weeks before I was consistently accurate with it. It's pretty shock free but not in the league of the general in terms of shock-free (but what is?). I see some that want to compare it to the "speed" bows, I don't think that's a fair comparision, the a-a is very different as is the weight and other specs. If you are looking for a lightning fast speeds, the airbornes and x-force would be a better choice. If you are looking for a shock-free release, the general would be better. I don't shoot 3-d or targets, I hunt whitetail deer exclusively, therefore the dxt was my choice b/c I felt it was agood balance of all the traits that I look for in a hunting rig.

Mathews, the #1 bow company in the world, introduces the new-for-2008 DXT, its latest SlimLimb bow. The DXT gives you the perfect balance of excessive power and exceptional accuracy.
What is different about the new DXT?
It's shorter - At just 29 3/4" axle-to-axle, the DXT is terrific in tight quarters.
It's lighter - At just 3.75lbs, the DXT will be a welcome companion on the trek up the mountain or across the cornfield.
It's faster - At 322 fps, the DXT gives you the perfect balance of excessive power and exceptional accuracy.
'Thin is in' and the DXT's SlimLimbs give the bow a streamlined appearance and result in less, unnecessary weight. SlimLimbs are also tough. The DXT's SlimLimbs are constructed of next generation SE4 composite and last typically twice as long as traditional, lifetime-guaranteed limbs.
The DXT will feature Mathews' new Lost Camo. The exclusive new camouflage pattern designed specifically with bowhunters in mind.
DXT features include a long list of Mathews' relentless innovations such as a perimeter-weighted cam, parallel limb design, Harmonic Dampers, String Suppressors, a roller guard and the SphereLock Pivoting Limb Cup system.
