Martin Firecat compound bows
Average user rating:
#1 I purchased a new Martin Firecat and so far really enjoy it. I was shooting a 427 grain arrow at just over 300 FPS. I shot all of the other bows I found in two shops and only the Bowtech 82nd came close. All of the bows were 30 inch draw at 70 lbs. with the same arrow. The Firecat felt the best to me when I shot as well as being the fastest. I believe that there is something to the issue of having been tuned up. I think a 350 grain arrow would have been quite a bit faster, but I don't know about reaching the advertised speed.

#2 I just purchased the new firecat pro after shooting around with the other top dog's. The reason was it just felt good in my hands, and after test firing it several times i fell in love with it!!!This is my first ever martin bow and it is as advertised: Very fast, smooth, light and QUIET!! I shoot 29" carbon redhead 350's 100grain nap broadhead 65lb @ a blistering 322fps. I would highly recommend try shooting one if you are looking at new bows.

THE Hottest selling bow for 2008 has gotten even Hotter!! The Firecat Pro-X took the bowhunting enthusiast by storm in 2008 and look for a repeat in 2009. The new 2009 Firecat mirrors the overall specs of its earlier counterpart, but with one bold improvement. The addition of the new CCS, or Cable Containment System. The CCS captures both control cables in a single offset position constraining them in place, offering a smoother, quieter and even more vibration free shot than ever before. Adding our Cat Hybrid-Duo cams and laminated limbs into the mix and you can be sure of one thing… more success... more 1st place belt buckles, bigger antlers on the wall, and more venison in your freezer!
